With over a decade of experience as a senior dance enrichment teacher in the preschool sector, Jo witnessed firsthand the positive benefits of dance on kids. Inspired by her own journey in ballet and a belief in its potential to enhance education, she set out to make a greater difference through the establishment of The Happy Hatchlings in 2023. Having started learning ballet at the age of three, she personally experienced how dance became an expressive outlet for her creativity and a source of enjoyment throughout her youth. She pursued the Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) under Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and is now a RAD Registered Teacher and is also equipped in the CSTD syllabus. Jo is passionate in nurturing in children the joy of the Arts through dance and yoga. She conducts holiday camps regularly that incorporates dance, yoga, sports and arts to expose children to an array of Arts. With a focus on customised programs and commitment to providing a safe and fun environment, she aims to inspire and support every child's unique dance journey.
Programs at The Happy Hatchling are designed specifically for children in preschools and kindergartens, aged 3 to 6.We focus on providing a joyful and enriching experience through various dance styles, including creative dance and movement, ballet, and jazz. It is our belief that learning should be a fun-filled adventure, which is why our classes incorporate creative and engaging storylines. Not only will the children learn fundamental dance techniques, but they will also have a blast as they immerse themselves in imaginative narratives. By associating learning with enjoyment, we create an environment where children are motivated and eager to participate. Our holiday camps on the other hand are an exhilarating fusion of dance, sports, and arts and craft, designed to ignite the participants' senses and propel them into a whirlwind of physical and mental exploration. With every step, jump, and brushstroke, they will not only engage and strengthen various aspects of their being but also embark on a thrilling adventure where fun knows no bounds.
